Anne obtained her bachelor Biology and Medical Laboratory research at Saxion University of Applied Sciences in Deventer. After two interesting internships at the Insititute for Cancer Research in Oslo and at the AST group, she decided to continue with the master Biomedical Engineering. Her master thesis was performed at the BIOS Lab-on-a-Chip group and was focused on the role of the autism specific gene CHD8 on the permeability of the blood-brain barrier using organ-on-chip devices.
Currently, she is continuing the blood-brain barrier project at AST.
