Sabine Middendorp is guest researcher from the hDMT (human organ & disease models technology), where she is leading the so-called One-Stop-Shop, a NXTGEN Hightech-funded project to advance new technologies, such as organ-on-chip, lab-on-chip and artificial organs, towards application.
Sabine has a PhD in immunology and has been associate professor at the UMC Utrecht and Regenerative Medicine Center Utrecht, where she developed functional assays in patient-derived organoid models to study congenital intestinal diseases. After 20 years in academic research, she made a transfer to industry and was leading the translational research of a clinical trial for gdTCR-based cell therapy.
