Anne obtained her master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Twente in 2021. During her time at the AST group in 2017, she contributed to the development of a retina-on-chip model for Age-related Macular Degeneration.
After working for 5 years in the start-up company 20Med Therapeutics, she returned to the AST group in 2025 as a researcher. Currently, she is working on the Pioneers in Healthcare project “A phantom coming to life”, where she focuses on developing an endothelial-lined phantom model for giant cell arteritis.
Her work involves developing a vessel-on-chip phantom for the detection of labeled microbubbles with Contrast-Enhanced ultrasound.
