Devin Veerman holds a bachelor degree in Biomedical Engineering and found his interest in biotechnology and bioengineering. He obtained his master’s degree (cum laude) in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Twente in which he learned various aspects of bioengineering technologies. During his internship at Utrecht University and his master thesis at the University of Twente, he mainly focussed on the targeted delivery of therapeutics to treat disease such as Parkinson’s disease and cancer, respectively.
Currently, his research aim is to develop a model of the retina using retinal organoids and organ-on-chip technology.
