After discovering MPS at Micronit and TissUse, Joris became highly engaged and moved to CEA in France to work as an MPS engineer on a range of MPS devices striking a balance between usability, fabrication methods and context of use requirements.
Now at B/MSC he helps MPS scale up, bringing both devices and assays from prototype to higher throughput.
Besides, he is heavily involved in the commercialization and valorization of the modular Translational Organ-on-chip Platform (TOP). Helping people get started with the platform, thinking about how to improve it and facilitate a community around it in a financially sustainable manner.
Overall, he uses his skills as a community developer, product designer and entrepreneur to contribute to a world with more affordable medication, better treatments and if we can do that without animal testing, that would be great.
