During the study of biology and medical laboratory research Simone discovered her interest for cell culture and the opportunities in the field of organ on a chip devices. Due to this interest she came across Robert Passier and the group of Applied Stem Cell Technologies and started working as a Research Analyst.

Her expertise is mostly in the field of Stem Cells, differentiation’s towards cardiac related cell types, Fluorescence Activated Cell sorting, a bit of 3D printing and some micro fluidics. Also, a priority of her is to assist in a way that group members and collaborations can upgrade there work quicker to a higher level.
